The testosterone levels of men can vary greatly. Compared to younger men however, older men have often lower testosterone levels. As men mature, their testosterone levels decrease. Around the age of 30, they drop by an average of one percent per year.

A blood test is the only way to determine if someone has low levels of testosterone. Some men have lower testosterone than normal without showing any symptoms. The majority of men don’t need any treatment. Some men with extremely low testosterone may be at a higher risk of osteoporosis. Low testosterone can cause changes in the body, emotions, sleep patterns, and sexual function.

Change up Your Workout

Exercise in general can help with weight loss or weight maintenance. According to recent studies, being overweight can affect testosterone levels. Adopting a fitness program aimed at weight loss if you’re not currently active can help raise testosterone levels.

Strength training and cardio are great ways to burn calories. You can even burn calories when you’re resting. Strength training can also help you gain back some muscle mass you may have lost due to low testosterone.

If you are new to exercising or have just started, you should remember that everyone has a different level of fitness. Therefore, the best way to burn calories for you may be different than the guy next to you on the treadmill. It’s not necessary to run a marathon for cardio. You can also do a brisk walk.
